Plant Controller

Plant Controller – Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturing

A leading Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations and support the overall financial performance of its manufacturing facility. This role will partner closely with plant leadership and corporate finance to drive profitability, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all plant-level financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, material, overhead, inventory, and variances to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved profitability.
  • Partner with plant leadership to provide financial guidance and support operational decision-making.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
  • Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics.
  • Support inventory management, standard costing, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Assist with capital expenditure analysis and financial justification for new equipment and projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes and plant performance.
  • Serve as a key financial liaison between the plant and corporate leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
