Quality Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Manager to lead all aspects of our Quality Management System (QMS) at our facility in Pulaski, Tennessee. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement throughout manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, IATF 16949, customer quality, supplier quality, and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all plant quality functions, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, and Customer Quality.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949 and applicable ISO standards.
- Serve as the primary quality contact for automotive customers and lead customer audits, quality meetings, and issue resolution.
- Oversee APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC activities.
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Develop and monitor quality metrics, KPIs, scrap reduction initiatives, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Manage internal, customer, and third-party audits while ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop and mentor the quality team through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Ensure supplier quality performance through audits, corrective actions, and supplier development activities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of quality management experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, Core Tools, and automotive customer requirements.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and GD&T.
- Proven leadership experience managing quality teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
Preferred
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive suppliers.
- Experience supporting OEM customer requirements.
*Competitive salary of $100,000–$130,000, depending on experience
